@neonspindash I think you steered yourself wrong when you talked about fandoms. The Sonic fandom as a whole isn’t as chaotic (haha pun) as you make it out to be. It’s just that that’s how the press makes it out to be. Just like with news, the media only cares about the most negative 1% of the fandom/game. Pokémon Go has 70 million players? Is a way to get kids walking? Nope, 2 kids got hurt being stupid, and the game sucks because of it. You have a great point about the song, and I personally prefer Emi Jones’s version, but be careful in talking about everybody who enjoys Sonic as the representation of a stereotypical Sonic fan.

i dont blame you for assuming i was labeling the entire fanbase but thats not at all what i meant. i wasnt trying to say the entire fanbase as a whole sucks. i’ve met a lot of nice people who are a part of the community and its obvious the sonic fanbase isnt entirely what the press makes it out to be. its just easier to say “this fanbase sucks” rather than being super specific about it. twitter has a character limit yknow.
